What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that uses concentrated beams of light, specifically lasers, to remove unwanted hair. The process involves targeting the hair follicles with the laser, which emits a highly concentrated and controlled beam of light. This light is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles, which generates heat and damages the follicles, inhibiting or delaying future hair growth.

What is a Hair Laser Procedure like?

You will have to shave off unwanted hair in the treatment area before you come to the treatment, latest 5 hour and earliest 1 day before treatment.

We first start with consultation, after which our doctor makes decision on whether you are suitable for the procedure. You can book the procedure and consultation on the same day.

You will take off the clothes (if needed), lay down and the doctor will put gentle water gel on the treatment area. Then our specialist will start working on that area. All you will hear is the occasional sound of a laser beeping and probably the smell of burning hair. If it is the first time, you might feel a tickling sensation, but most of our clients, even during the first time report virtually no sensations at all! Our laser model is 2023 and works all three wave lengths, we are certain you will be positively surprised as to how quick and easy the procedure was. 

If you have treatment sessions, next session should be booked 3 or 3.5 weeks after the first one, and approximately 10-12 sessions are needed for permanent no-hair results (be mindful that in rare occasions and depending on your skin, hair type permanent hair removal is impossible to achieve regardless of the treatment type or amount of sessions). Drastic results will be visible after 1st session. Your hair will grow smaller and thinner after every session.

How long does the procedure takes and what are aftercare instructions?

Small areas like face, and arms take approximately 5-15 minutes and whole body treatment takes around 1 hour 20 min.

Aftercare instructions: Your skin will be red. Shower is prohibited for the next 12 hours. Apply gentle cream to soothe redness. Before consultation and procedure, our doctor goes extensively through every aspect of pre and post-instructions.

How is Hair Laser Removal different from other Hair Removal procedures? 

Laser Hair removal is the most painless, quick, and provides relatively best long-term hair removal results. With our newest laser machine, most clients report virtually no sensations at all! Electrolysis

IPL:

What happens if you do not shave before hair laser removal? 

In some cases when you see that you have small areas of hair growth left untreated, we ask you to specifically not to shave them, so that we can target them more properly. Other than that it is extremely important to shave the treated area before the visit, as treatment will not be effective at all.
